Genç yetişkin obsesif kompulsif bozukluk hastalarında prodrom bipolar bozukluk belirtilerinin taranması
Abstract
Obsesif kompulsif bozukluk (OKB) bipolar bozukluk (BB) için öncü bir hastalık mıdır? Bu araştırma OKB ile BB arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek üzere genç yetişkin OKB hastalarındaki BB prodrom belirtilerin taraması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma 18-25 yaş arasında OKB tanısı almış ve aynı yaş grubunda herhangi bir psikiyatrik bozukluğu bulunmayan toplam 66 katılımcıdan oluşmaktadır. aldıkları puanların analizine göre OKB ile sağlıklı grup arasında bipolar prodrom belirtiler açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmıştır. OKB hastalarının sağlıklı kişilere göre daha fazla BB prodrom belirtileri gösterdiği bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, OKB puanları ile bipolar prodrom belirti puanları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. OKB semptom puanları arttıkça bipolar prodrom belirtileri de OKB semptomları ile birlikte artış göstermektedir. Is obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) a precursor of bipolar disorder (BD)? The aim of this study was to invetigate BD prodrome symptoms in young adult OCD patients in order to explore the relationship between OCD and BD. The study consisted of 66 participants between the ages of 18-25 who were diagnosed as OCD and did not have any psychiatric disorders in the same age group. According to the analysis of the participants’ scores on the Bipolar Prodrome Symptom Scale and the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale, a statistically significant difference was found between the OCD and the healthy group in terms of bipolar prodrome symptoms. It has been found that OCD patients have more BD prodrome symptoms than healthy individuals. In addition, a positive and significant relationship was found between OCD scores and bipolar prodrome symptom scores. As OCD symptom scores increase, bipolar prodrome scores also increase with OCD symptoms.
